Hi! My name is Jessica Noe and I'm the owner/photographer at The Captain's Wife Photography

Every bride consultation I have, I find I'm always answering the same questions.  So, I thought it would be good for me to include some of this information on my website, because let's be honest, there are 1,000's of wedding photographers out there and you need to feel comfortable with the person you choose.  I hope this information helps you understand who I am and what you should expect when you pick me as your wedding photographer:

First off, I have over 8 years experience shooting weddings.  I don't say this to brag, (I'm flattered more than anything) but it IS important that whomever you choose, they know a thing or two about weddings.  They need to know the ebb and flow of a wedding, how to work with other vendors such as the DJ and Event Coordinator.  Even small things you learn from experience, such as how to pin a boutonniere or politely  ask your guests to move out of the way during important shots.  These are all things I have learned over the years and bring to the table with me beyond just taking a picture.

I often get asked what my style is.  This is a tough one to answer, mainly because over the course of the 8 hours a typical wedding spans, there will be many different ways I will be capturing your day.  During the pre-ceremony hours, most of my shots will be candid and photo journalistic.  From putting on a touch-up of lipstick to your mom helping you into your dress, I try to blend in and just photograph what is happening.  Later in the evening, there's usually a time set aside for formal photos with family which will be more portrait style.  Then, I usually set aside time for the Bride and Groom to take some more intimate photos, which can be a blend of styles, from sweet quiet moments you don't know I'm shooting to beautiful posed photos of you two.  I really strive to provide you with a blend of everything.

A photographer becomes a little bit like your right-hand go-to person on your wedding day.  I'm there the whole day and night, right by your side, (well not the whole day, a girl has got to eat) but I find I end up being a best friend you never knew you had for the day!  I may make a joke to lighten the tension from time to time and I will probably throw an Office or Friends quote in there as well, but overall, I am there to help make your day go smooth and bring out the best in everyone
